What We Believe

    We believe and accept the Bible as the infallible Word of God and the only source for all teachings of our church. "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God." (2 Timothy 3:16)

     We Believe that all people are guilty of sin and as a result deserve the eternal punishment of hell. "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God... The wages of sin is death."  (Romans 3:23 and 6:23)

     We Believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God lived and died for all people and that all who believe in him receive forgiveness and eternal life in heaven. "For God so loved the world that He sent His only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life."  (John 3:16)

     We Believe that faith in Jesus Christ is not a human accomplishment, but a gift given by God through His Word and Sacraments, Holy Baptism and Holy Communion. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."  (Ephesians 2:8)

     We Believe that those who believe in Jesus Christ will show it by striving for a life of obedience to God's commands and loving service to others. "Christ died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him."  (2 Corinthians 5:15)
